Learn to Skate Programs
Our Learn to Skate programs utilize small class sizes and experienced qualified instructors and volunteers to achieve the best results in a fun, non-overwhelming environment.

We limit our class sizes to 5 skaters to ensure personal instruction.

Pre-Skate (2 to 3 years old)
Time: Saturday Mornings
This is a 15 minute class to get 2 and 3 year olds who are timid comfortable on the ice and help them gain balance. Once the child achieves balance and will come on the ice with ease, the child can move into the 30 minute Learn to Skate program. Skaters must wear helmets with face masks.

Beginner Learn to Skate Level 1&2 (3 to 12 years old)
Time: Saturday Mornings
This is a 30 minute class focussing on the basics of skating. Skaters must wear helmets with face masks.

Advanced Learn to Skate Level 2/3/4 (3 to 12 years old)
Time: Saturday Mornings
This is a 45 minute class focussing on the more advanced areas of skating. Skaters must wear helmets with face masks.

Adult Learn to Skate
Time: Saturday Mornings
This is a 30 minute class focussing on the basics of skating. This class is for both the newest adult skater to those who want to refine their skating skills. Skaters must wear helmets, face masks are optional.

Hockey Programs
Our Hockey programs utilize small class sizes and experienced qualified instructors and volunteers to achieve the best results in a fun, non-overwhelming environment

We limit our class sizes to 8 skaters to ensure proper instruction.

Learn to Play Hockey Program (3 to 7 year olds)
Time: Saturday Mornings
Our Learn to Play Hockey program is the perfect introduction to hockey. Our players are introduced to shooting and stickhandling while improving their skating and turning abilities. Players are required to wear full hockey equipment. The classes will consist of 20 minutes of skating drills, 20 minutes of hockey drills and 10 minutes of a mini game.

Hockey Skills Program (5 to 12 year olds)
Time: Saturday Mornings
Our Hockey Skills program emphasizes Skating, Stickhandling and Shooting to help create an all around hockey player. Players will work on multipurpose drills in a small environment to ensure accuracy and speed. Players are required to wear full hockey equipment. The classes will consist of 25 minutes of skating drills and 25 minutes of hockey drills.

Important Information for all
Ice Shed Programs

CSA Certified Helmets must be worn during all times on the ice at the facility. No exceptions will be made.

The Ice Shed highly recommends CSA certified face masks be worn as well at all times.
